Hazard & Debris Removal

Phase 1: Hazardous Material Removal

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in coordination with FEMA, is actively removing hazardous materials from properties impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires. This service is provided at no cost to homeowners. Items such as paint, batteries, oils, pesticides, and propane tanks are safely removed with assistance from the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC).

Phase 2: Fire Debris Removal

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers oversees this second phase. Property owners must submit a Right of Entry (ROE) form to allow cleanup to begin. Rad Builder Inc. encourages homeowners to submit this form—even if opting out—to avoid delays in their neighborhood.

Your Recovery Timeline

Debris removal is a critical step before rebuilding. Homeowners not participating in the government program must hire qualified contractors in compliance with safety and environmental standards. Rad Builder Inc. can assist with private debris removal services and help ensure your site is cleared and ready for reconstruction.
Insurance & Cost
Whether insured or not, eligible property owners can use the government-sponsored debris removal program at no direct cost. Rad Builder Inc. can guide you through both public and private cleanup options.
